Australian Family Office Manager Names CEO, Eyes Expansion
The firm, which has worked with family offices, is said to be planning to broaden the range of clients it handles.
Brisbane-headquartered Alvia Asset Partners has appointed its first chief executive, Nathan Robertson, a former senior figure at UBS.
According to the Financial Standard publication, which described Alvia as a “family office manager,” Robertson brings more than two decades of experience in financial services, most recently serving as director, national account manager at UBS. Previously, Robertson worked at Colonial First State and Commonwealth Bank – details which are confirmed on Robertson’s LinkedIn page.
Robertson will focus on Alvia Asset Partners business development and enhancing its service offerings to other parts of the financial services market, the report said.
"To date, Alvia has primarily been an investment manager for family offices," Robertson was quoted by the paper as saying. "But our plans for strategic growth are to expand that service offering in investment management to financial planning and accounting firms and partnering with them to look after the investment needs of their ultra-high net worth client segments."
