Asia's Odyssey Creates Third-Party Fund Distributor Division

The firm said it will launch new initiatives in the private credit and equities space soon.

Odyssey Asset Management, part of Asia-based investments firm Odyssey Group, has set up a third-party fund distributor, called CapConnectAsia.

The distributor is designed to link up global fund management houses with suppliers of Asian capital. It will be led by Barry McAlinden and Dan Vovil, with a presence in Hong Kong, Singapore and Australia.

The organisation said that it will launch with several "exciting mandates" in the private credit and Asian-listed equity space in the next few weeks.

The creators of the division think it is a natural progression from work Odyssey has already done in equity fund distribution in the region.

CapConnectAsia will concentrate on distributing a range of strategies across various asset classes and keep to its roots in private equity real estate distribution.
