Aon Australia Merges Financial Businesses Into A Single Entity

Aon bolsters its Australian financial services offering by merger four key businesses to create a new entity.

Aon, the global consulting firm, has merged its financial businesses in Australia to create a new entity called Financial Specialties.

The new division combines Aon's financial services group, merger and acquisition solutions, environmental services group and trade credit and surety divisions to strengthen growth efforts across covered markets.

It will have more than 30 members, led by Jennifer Richards as managing director of Financial Specialties. She reports to Lambros Lambrou, chief executive of Aon Risk Solutions. Richards has been with the firm since 2011. Prior to that, she was the senior vice president of the M&A and financial institutions arm of AIG.

Liz Botha and Stephen Trickey, current heads of trade credit and surety and the financial services group, remain in their positions, reporting to Richards.
