Amundi Boosts Smart Beta Capabilities

The European asset management firm has named a new managing director within its Paris headquarters.
Amundi has appointed Fannie Wurtz as managing director of the exchange-traded fund, indexing and smart beta business, a newly-created role.
The hire follows last week’s appointment of Valérie Baudson as chief executive at CPR Asset Management, a subsidiary of Amundi. Baudson continues to serve as CEO of Amundi’s ETF, indexing and smart beta business with Wurtz’s support in her expanded role. Both are based in Paris.
Prior to joining Amundi in
2012, Wurtz was responsible for ETF institutional sales and ETF
business development with French and Swiss institutional
clients at CA Cheuvreux.
Amundi, which was jointly created in 2010 by Crédit Agricole and
Société Générale, had assets of close to €1 trillion as of the
end of 2015.
