Ambit Holdings Scoops Former Shinsei CFO

Ambit Holdings, the India-based investment manager, has hired Shinsei Bank's ex top official Rahul Gupta, as deputy group chief executive, according to a report in India's Business Standard.
Gupta will report to Ashok Wadhwa, group CEO. He will provide oversight to the private wealth and institutional equities businesses at Ambit which are led by Sutapa Banerjee and Saurabh Mukherjea respectively.
Gupta’s career in financial services spans over 25 years. Prior to returning to India after 12 years in senior finance positions across the region, he was member of the board of directors, senior managing executive officer and CFO of Shinsei Bank, Japan, overseeing a balance sheet in excess of $120 billion, according to the report.
Ashok Wadhwa said: “I am delighted to have Rahul, a recognised specialist in the financial services industry, join the Ambit family. With his vast experience across Asia, I look forward to him as a partner to take Ambit to the next level.”
