AXA Investment Managers has appointed Monique Diaz to replace Garry Murdoch as global head of compliance.

AXA Investment Managers has hired Monique Diaz as global head of compliance.

She was promoted to the role after serving as interim global head following Garry Murdoch's departure from the role late last year.

Diaz has been with the AXA group for 25 years, latterly serving as AXA Investment Managers' head of compliance in France. Based in Paris, Diaz will report to the global head of risks and controls, Christian Gissler, and will be responsible for ensuring the business's alignment with standards and regulations worldwide.

"She will be responsible for supporting and developing the local compliance teams through the sharing of best practice and refinement of processes. Monique brings to the role a deep understanding of the regulatory field as well as an in-depth knowledge of AXA IM as a business,” said Gissler.
