AXA IM Adds To Asian Fixed Income Team In Hong Kong

The financial services giant says it has added to its fixed income team in Hong Kong.

AXA Investment Managers, part of European financial services giant AXA, has appointed Honyu Fung as senior portfolio manager and Jason Pang as portfolio anager within its Asian fixed income team.

Both managers are based in Hong Kong and report to Jim Veneau, head of Fixed Income Asia. The managers have both worked previously at HSBC Global Asset Management.

Honyu Fung previously spent more than 11 years at HSBC Global Asset Management where he held the role of associate director for Hong Kong overseeing Asian fixed income mandates. Pang previously was a senior Asian fixed income investment manager at the firm in Hong Kong; he has also spent time within the wealth management distribution team at UBS Global Asset Management in Hong Kong.

Among other hires over the past 12 months, AXA IM’s fixed income team has seen the arrivals of Vineau, as previously mentioned, and Christy Lee as portfolio manager.
