Australia and New Zealand Banking Group has appointed former Standard Chartered senior strategist Danny Suwanapruti as global head of rates research, reporting to global head of financial markets research, Richard Yetsenga.

Australia and New Zealand Banking Group has appointed former Standard Chartered senior strategist Danny Suwanapruti as global head of rates research, reporting to global head of financial markets research, Richard Yetsenga. He takes up the role on 1 January.

Based in Singapore, he will lead a global team of strategists that provide analysis, trade ideas, strategy, forecasts and strategic insights on fixed income and associated interest rate markets.

Suwanapruti joins from Standard Chartered in Singapore where he spent the last nine years as a senior rates strategist and brings extensive Asian rates and international banking experience.

“A key strategic focus for ANZ is the build out of our Asian rates business. Danny will be instrumental in delivering that capability to our global customer base,” Warren Hogan, ANZ chief economist, said.
