ANZ Names Chief Executive For Philippines

This publication carries latest news of moves and appointments in the Asia-Pacific wealth management sector.

Australia and New Zealand Banking Group has appointed Anna Green as the chief executive of the Philippines, reporting to David Green, chief executive for Singapore and head of Southeast Asia, India and the Middle East.

Ms Green has replaced Peter Chan as ANZ CEO for the Philippines. Chan is now ANZ's CEO for Taiwan. Ms Green, who joined ANZ in 2004, is currently CEO for ANZ’s Laos operations and prior to that role, she held senior risk and regulatory roles with ANZ across the region. She has also practiced international banking and finance law in Sydney and London, the bank said in a statement.

“We have a strong franchise in the Philippines where local corporate and financial institutions are increasingly looking for business opportunities across ANZ’s network in Australia, New Zealand and Asia,” David Green said.

“Anna’s country leadership experience and strong connections across the ASEAN region make her the ideal candidate to lead the team here. Her skills and experience will be extremely valuable in driving our business in the Philippines,” Mr Green added.

Subject to regulatory approval, Ms Green will commence in the role on 1 August 2017. An announcement on the CEO Laos role will be made in the coming weeks.
