ANZ Adds Prominent Australia Businesswoman To Board

Australia and New Zealand Banking Group said today that Ilana Atlas, a prominent businesswoman, will join the bank’s board.

Australia and New Zealand Banking Group said today that Ilana Atlas, a prominent businesswoman, will join the bank’s board.

She is a director of Coca-Cola Amatil, Westfield Corporation and Treasury Corporation of New South Wales. She was formerly a director of Suncorp Group and is chair of Bell Shakespeare Company.

Previously Atlas was a senior executive at Westpac Banking Corporation where she was group executive in its “People” segment, with responsibility for human resources, corporate affairs and sustainability. Prior to that role, she was group secretary and general counsel at Westpac and formerly a partner in law firm Mallesons Stephen Jaques (now known as King & Wood Mallesons).

She is due to join the board on 24 September and stand for election as a director at the bank’s annual meeting in December.
