London-listed AFH Financial Group has made several changes to its top management, including the addition of Paul Wright as chief financial officer and Sue Lewis as a non-executive director.
In addition, Toby Denne, who has been a non-executive Director of AFH since its flotation in 2011, has become an executive director and named chief investment officer at the firm.
Lastly, John Wheatley, who has served in the role as finance director since its IPO, has become non-executive chairman of AFH following Wright's appointment.
Wright was a qualified chartered accountant with KPMG in London before moving into the wholesale financial services sector with Exco International, where he spent 10 years working in London and the Asia Pacific. Since 1995, Wright has been group CFO of a number of technology companies serving the UK Financial markets. Most recently, he was instrumental in securing the MBO of Workplace Systems International, an AIM listed company.
“We are delighted to announce these changes to the board and believe they will have a positive impact on the company's progression. Paul and Sue join AFH with demonstrable track records in their respective fields,” said chief executive Alan Hudson.
Lewis, a senior partner at leading international law firm, Eversheds, is an experienced commercial solicitor having delivered complex, high value merger and acquisition transactions, as well as advising at board level on legal and strategic issues.
The appointments come at a time when AFH Financial has been expanding its business significantly in recent months, with this publication having reported on its 18th acquisition in just two years. Read more on these developments, here.
