The new client is a firm formed by the Watson Rericha Group at Merrill Lynch.

tru Independence, the US-based consulting and services platform for wealth management firms, has signed up another client, YellowWood Wealth Solutions.

The firm, which was launched yesterday, is led by Les Watson and Jason Rericha and is based in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Watson and Rericha have over 30 years of investment and wealth management industry experience. Prior to founding YellowWood Wealth Solutions, they founded The Watson Rericha Group at Merrill Lynch and advised on over $145 million of assets under management. They will be joined at YellowWood Wealth Solutions by Shari Kinney, a registered senior client associate, and Kelly McKinley, client associate, who were also part of The Watson Rericha Group.

Founded in 2014, tru Independence supports advisors in many aspects of middle and back office support. A few weeks ago, the firm brought in Paces Ferry Wealth Advisors. In August it added Firethorn Wealth Partners as a client.
