16 August 2010
Manav Abrol, head of investment advisory and sales at Citi Private Bank Geneva, is relocating to head up the investment advisory and sales team in Singapore. In his new role he reports to Debashish Duttagupta, the bank’s head of investments for Asia Pacific. Abrol has worked at Citi Private Bank for six years, and while responsible for the investment advisory and sales business in Switzerland he managed a team covering UK offshore, Central and Eastern Europe, Greece, Africa and Turkey. The IAS team provides asset allocation advice to clients across asset classes including equities, fixed income, FX and commodities; it also provides capital markets services, and services using external managers in long-only equities and fixed income, hedge funds and private equity. In Singapore, Abrol replaces Jennifer Tay, who will become head of the managed investment product sales team for Asia Pacific, a role in which she will also report to Duttagupta, and with a matrix report to David Baillin, global head of managed investments for CPB. Tay’s appointment reflects the bank’s commitment to developing its pan-Asian sales capabilities, according to an internal memo seen by WealthBriefing.
