DBS Announces New Consumer Banking Head

DBS has brought in a former ANZ banker to head its consumer banking unit.

Tan Kong Khoon was most recently the head of retail banking and wealth management for ANZ in Hong Kong and northeast Asia. The banker, who actually started his banking career with DBS in 1981, will assume his new post on 1 December.

Tan succeeds Rajan Raju, who resigned in late August 2010 to join Deutsche Bank's asset management team. Raju's official last day at DBS was on 1 September; consumer banking veterans Linda Wong, Jeremy Soo and Domenic Fuda will manage the unit in the interim until Tan officially takes over.
