Who's Moving Where In Wealth Management? – UBS Asset Management, Knight Frank

The latest moves, appointments and personnel changes in the Asia-Pacific wealth management sector.

UBS
UBS Asset Management, part of UBS, has named Desmond Ng as asset management region head for Asia-Pacific, effective 1 October 2025. Ng will be based in Hong Kong, the Swiss firm confirmed to WealthBriefingAsia.

Ng brings more than 28 years of asset management industry experience as well as a deep knowledge of the region and the bank's clients. He will be joining from Allianz Global Investors where he was head of APAC, responsible for the retail and institutional businesses. Prior to this, Ng was CEO for Greater China at Invesco, and before that he held a number of senior positions at JP Morgan Asset Management.

Ng was also chairman of the Hong Kong Investment Funds Association from 2009 to 2011, and vice chairman from 2008 to 2009.

Knight Frank
Knight Frank, the real estate group, has appointed two figures to join its capital markets business in Australia.

Rob Sewell has joined as partner, national head of institutional sales, leading Knight Frank’s national office team. Michael Kwok has been promoted to partner, national head of capital markets. Both will be based in Sydney.
