Morgan Stanley Investment Management
Morgan Stanley Investment Management (MSIM) has launched Morgan Stanley Investment Funds’ (MS INVF) Strategic Income Fund sub-fund, a flexible, multi-sector strategy that focuses on fixed income plus sectors and expands investor access to MSIM’s global fixed income investment capabilities. The Strategic Income Fund is currently registered in France, Germany, Italy, Ireland, Japan, Luxemburg, Singapore, Spain, Switzerland and the UK, the firm said in a statement.
MS INVF Strategic Income Fund aims to provide diversified exposure to a spectrum of global fixed income sectors, focusing on certain sectors that are often underrepresented in traditional core portfolios. The strategy is managed by Andrew Szczurowski, Justin Bourgette and Brian Shaw, portfolio managers on MSIM’s Mortgage and Securitized, High Yield and Emerging Markets Debt teams, respectively. The Strategic Income Fund is managed by the same team that manages the US Eaton Vance Strategic Income Fund, a US-registered investment company.
The Strategic Income Fund aims to provide an attractive rate of total return, measured in US dollars, through investments in a range of fixed income securities, including securitised instruments, corporate and government bonds located anywhere in the world, including emerging markets and frontier markets, and in currencies.
