Asset Management has launched the Pictet HK – Pictet Global
Income Quality fund, an income-focused global real assets equity
strategy.
The fund is registered with the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission (SFC). It is the firm’s third Hong Kong-domiciled fund and part of its ongoing efforts to broaden its Hong Kong product offering, PAM, part of Pictet, said in a statement this week.
The fund seeks to deliver an attractive dividend distribution alongside capital appreciation via a high-conviction global equity portfolio. The fund invests in listed companies that own or operate high-quality physical assets in all sectors of the market such as utilities, materials, industrials, real estate and energy.
A team of six people run the fund, which is led by James Wigley (main picture), senior investment manager, specialist equities, at Pictet Asset Management.
"Building on the robust momentum of our two existing Hong Kong-domiciled funds, the new strategy complements our offerings across multi-asset, fixed income and global equities. This underscores our commitment to strengthening investment capabilities through the Hong Kong-domiciled vehicles,” Junjie Watkins, CEO Asia ex Japan, Pictet Asset Management, said.
This new fund and the two earlier Hong Kong-domiciled funds – Pictet HK – Pictet Strategic Income (launched in 2016) and Pictet HK – Pictet Asian Bond Income (launched in 2020) – are available for retail distribution through partnered distributors. Pictet HK – Pictet Strategic Income has also been available for mainland Chinese investors in the Mutual Recognition of Funds (MRF) scheme since 2020.
