UOB Private Bank Expands Pact With Columbia Threadneedle Investments

The US-headquartered asset management firm will be able to expand its wealth management distribution capabilities across Asia.

Columbia Threadneedle Investments has expanded a partnership with UOB Private Bank so that the bank’s clients can tap into opportunities such as healthcare.

UOB Private Bank clients will gain access to Seligman Investments' specialist healthcare long/short capability, following the launch of its technology long/short strategy through the same partnership. The strategies have logged inflows of more than $1 billion since the start of 2026.

The partnership underscores Columbia Threadneedle's continued focus on expanding access to its capabilities through strategic partnerships with leading wealth management firms across Asia.

The healthcare long/short strategy recently marked its third anniversary.

Seligman Investments is Columbia Threadneedle Investments' specialist technology and healthcare investment business; it forms part of the firm's global alternatives capability. Seligman is led by chief investment officer Paul Wick whose his team is based in Silicon Valley; they oversee $48.2 billion via hedge funds, mutual funds and separately managed accounts. The business also includes Seligman Ventures, its venture capital platform.
