First Sentier Group Reveals New Chief Executive

There's a new sheriff in town at the head of the asset management firm, which is owned by Japan's Mitsubishi UFJ Trust and Banking Corporation.
Asset manager First Sentier Group has named Harry Moore as CEO, taking effect from 1 January 2026. He is based in Australia.
Moore’s appointment follows the current CEO, Mark Steinberg’s intention to step down at the end of the year after seven years with the group.
“His extensive understanding of our business and its operations, coupled with his strong relationships with our shareholders, our clients and our investment teams, along with his in-depth knowledge of asset management and markets, make him an excellent fit for this role,” Takafumi Ihara, director, deputy president and CEO, asset management and investor services business unit at Mitsubishi UFJ Trust and Banking Corporation, said. “While Mark will remain CEO of First Sentier Group until the end of the year, I would like to take this opportunity, on behalf of the board, to extend our thanks to him for his strong leadership and dedication to the business over the past seven years.”
(First Sentier is owned by Mitsubishi UFJ Trust and Banking Corporation.)
Prior to this appointment, in January 2025 Moore was appointed as chief commercial officer. He began his career at First Sentier Group in 2010.
