Citi Appoints UHNW Private Banker From Deutsche In NY

Citi Private Bank has brought in Steven Young from Deutsche Bank as a managing director and ultra high net worth private banker, based in New York.
At Deutsche, Young was a managing director and senior private banker, roles he held since 2006. When he starts his new role at Citi in October, he will report to Charles Merrill, New York Metro region executive.
Prior to joining Deutsche Bank, Young was a managing director and senior banker at JP Morgan Private Bank, where he held a number of roles between 2001 and 2006, including within the firm's financial sponsors and capital advisory groups in New York, as well as at the international bank in London.
Earlier in his career, between 1997 and 2001, Young worked for Chase Manhattan Bank in New York as a vice president and private banker within the entrepreneurs group. Before that, he held roles at Bank of America, Seafirst Bank and Arthur Andersen & Co.
In other recent moves, last month Citi appointed Helio Lima Magalhaes as country officer for Brazil, responsible for “establishing strong client relationships and driving growth in the country,” the bank said.
