Bank of Singapore Boosts Philippines Team

The OCBC subsidiary has hired two senior bankers from Credit Suisse.

Bank of Singapore has expanded its Philippines team with the appointments of Arthur Ooi as managing director and team head, and Brandon Ho as executive director and senior relationship manager.

Ooi was most recently team head with Credit Suisse Private Bank’s Philippines business. Previously, he worked at UBS and Citigroup. Ooi has advised ultra-high net worth private clients, family offices and institutional clients, both as a lawyer and banker, for the last 19 years. He is an advocate and solicitor of the Supreme Court of Singapore.

Ho has 19 years of industry experience in investment banking and wealth management. He was previously team lead for the emerging Asia investment consulting business at Credit Suisse. He has advised UHNW private clients, family offices and institutional wealth managers across Southeast Asian and Middle Eastern markets.

Ooi will report to Robin Heng, Bank of Singapore’s global market head of Indonesia and Philippines, while Ho will report to Ooi.

“We are very happy to have Arthur and Brandon join us. Besides having extensive banking experience and knowledge of the Philippine market, they are also familiar with areas of law, institutional wealth, family office and wealth planning,” said Robin Heng, Bank of Singapore’s global head of Indonesia and the Philippines.

“Their expertise and acute knowledge of the nuances and sensitivities of Asian families, will significantly enhance the quality of services and solutions we can offer to our clients.”
